Will the subbies use it?

The recording above is the whole of it: scan, mobile number, tap. Four things sit around that.

If he's been inducted on an Anchorlog site before.

If he has, the new site's form arrives already filled with his own details and ticket numbers once he proves his mobile by text. He still reads this site's content, answers its questions and signs again. Ticket photos are re-uploaded.

The gate works before the board arrives.

Print the site's QR poster yourself as a PDF the day you set it up (one for induction, one for sign on and sign off), so the gate works before the Coreflute board arrives.

If a board is copied or walks off.

Rotate the site's QR codes from the dashboard: every old code for that site stops working at once, the retired ones are kept on record, and you reprint the posters.

The safety content has to be opened first.

The induction won't submit until every required safety block has been opened on his phone. His phone reports each block opened, and Anchorlog records that on the server before it lets him submit. Opened, not read.

Retention isn't an afterthought at export time. It's stamped on every record the moment it's created, so nothing is quietly deleted while it still matters, and nothing has to be reconstructed when the question is finally asked.

The detail
  • The sample is the evidence PDF on its own. A live export is a ZIP that also links to the photos and files, under the link lifetimes above.
  • When the question is about one week, one site or one worker rather than the whole pack: attendance and inductions export to CSV or Excel, a site's evidence summary exports as a PDF, and any one worker's full record exports as a dossier.
  • The live roster shows who is on site right now and, separately, who has signed on but isn't cleared to start work, with the reason. That state is a flag for your judgement, not a turnstile.

  • SWMS, submitted and reviewed. They submit their SWMS through a token link (no account), and you approve or reject it from your queue. You get an email the first time a SWMS lands for a work package.
  • Insurances, through the same link. They upload their insurances, certificate of currency and subcontractor's statement, each with its expiry date, and it lands in your queue for review.
  • Expiry, tracked per document. Every document's expiry is tracked, flagged in your alerts from thirty days out, and emailed to your owners, admins and site managers as the date approaches: the subcontractor's statement dated from the end of its period, not a made-up expiry.
  • One click, one bundle. A site's (or one contractor's) approved SWMS and the insurances on file, zipped with a cover sheet that prints each document's expiry and review state: the thing a prequalifier or a principal asks for.
  • Chase what's missing. Chase a contractor for a document he's never given you. One click, and he gets an email with a fresh upload link. It's for missing documents, not expired ones.
  • Suspend, and the emails stop. Suspend a contractor on a site and the expiry emails about his documents stop; his alerts stay in your feed until you clear them.

  • It won't rank them. The work-rate view won't rank your crew by hours. Alphabetical, full stop. It's a record of who signed on, not a scoreboard of who worked hardest.
  • It won't invent a number. If the ROI view can't work out a real figure from your own records and your own hourly rate, it says so.
  • It won't time his induction. Anchorlog measures how long a worker was on site. It does not and cannot measure how long his induction took.

How is my data handled?
Your records are stored in Australia. The primary database runs in Sydney. A small number of overseas providers handle specific functions (such as payments, email, SMS and error reports), and every one of them is disclosed in our Privacy Policy. Your data exports any time while you're with us. Induction, sign-on and sign-off records are kept for seven years automatically, even if you close your account, and nobody has to remember to archive anything.
What does Anchorlog cost?
Three plans, all AUD incl. GST, no per-worker fees: Starter $1,490/yr (1–3 sites), Pro $3,990/yr (4–20 sites), Scale volume pricing for 21+ sites, by conversation. What would it cost me to rebuild my records by hand?
Anchorlog has an ongoing ROI view in-product. It works out the hours it would take to rebuild your own sign-on records by hand, at a fixed per-record estimate. You see the number in your dashboard, not in a testimonial. The figure comes from your own attendance records multiplied by whatever you tell it an hour of digging through paper costs you; if it cannot work out a real figure, it says so instead of making one up.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel any time. No annual lock-in surprise. After you cancel, your audit pack still exports from your billing page for as long as your account exists; the worker roster we pull for you on request.
What does Anchorlog not do?
Anchorlog doesn't replace your full safety-management system. We replace paper sign-on, the contractor paperwork that comes with it, and the audit-pack reconstruction that follows. We're not a scheduling tool, timesheets / payroll, project management, training-course platform, or generic compliance suite. There is no mobile app either: a worker uses the web page behind the QR code on his own phone, with nothing to install and no account to create. And an induction belongs to the site it was done at. Inducting a worker on one of your sites does not carry him across to another.
How does Anchorlog meet 'reasonable steps' defensibility?
By keeping the record you'd be asked for: every sign-on and induction retention-tagged from the day it's captured and kept seven years, and an audit pack you assemble in one action rather than rebuild from memory. Whether that meets 'reasonable steps' on your site is your call and your safety consultant's. Anchorlog keeps the evidence; it doesn't make the judgement.
What if a worker's phone is dead, or they've left it in the ute?
You, an admin or the site's manager can sign them on by hand from the dashboard. They still need a valid induction for that site: if they haven't done it, or it has run out, they can't be signed on this way either. Your attendance export labels it "Admin entry" and names who entered it. One exception: if the privacy notice has changed since they last accepted it, they have to accept the new one themselves before anyone can sign them on.
Does a finished job still count as one of my sites?
A site counts toward your plan from the day you create it, even before anyone signs on, until you mark it complete or archive it. Then the slot is free for the next job. Marking a job complete can't be undone; an archived site can be brought back if you have a slot free. Either way its induction and sign-on records are kept seven years. If you try to add a site past your plan's limit, Anchorlog asks you to upgrade from your billing page. It never moves you up a plan by itself.
Does Anchorlog check a worker's ticket is real?
No, a person does, and Anchorlog keeps the record of it. Someone on your team checks the ticket and marks it verified or rejected, and Anchorlog records who decided, when, and how they checked. It tracks expiry dates and texts or emails the worker as a ticket gets close to running out, if their mobile or email is on file. An expired ticket doesn't stop them signing on; the roster flags a ticket that had run out when they signed on, for you to deal with. Each site also has a report of the high-risk-work licences its workers hold against what you've said the site needs. It's a report, not a gate.
What if a worker forgets to sign off?
Each site has an end time, 7pm unless you change it in the site's settings. Anyone still signed on when it passes is recorded as signed off at the end time, and your attendance export marks it "Auto". Anyone who signed on after the end time is left open for you or a site manager to sign off by hand from the dashboard.
What about visitors and delivery drivers?
They scan the same induction QR code at the gate and tap "I'm visiting". They see the privacy notice first, then give their name and mobile, pick why they're there, say who they're seeing, and sign on the screen. They follow a visitor path, not the worker induction, and they're kept apart from your workers: listed as visitors on the on-site list until the site's finish time that day, because visitors don't sign off, with their own records, kept seven years and included when you export an audit pack.
Do I have to key all my workers in again?
No. Download the template and fill in a mobile number and the site for each worker, plus name, email, employer and trade where you have them. Save it as a CSV and upload it, up to 200 workers a file. Anchorlog shows you what it will do with each row before anything is saved, and the import doesn't text or sign anyone on. Importing puts them on your list; it doesn't induct them. Each one still does the site's induction before they can sign on, and you can copy the induction link to send them. An owner or admin runs the import.
Can my site manager see all my jobs, or just theirs?
Just the ones you give them. Invite your team by email as an admin, a site manager or read-only. A site manager sees only the sites you assign them; you and your admins see every site. Read-only can look but can't sign anyone on or mark a ticket verified. Only the owner handles billing.
Does it track where my workers are?
Anchorlog doesn't track workers while they work. A worker's phone is asked for its location once when they sign on and once when they sign off, and they can say no and still sign on, unless the site has a sign-on boundary and your notice is in effect. The phone's coordinates are only kept once your workplace-surveillance notice is recorded in the dashboard and in effect, and your audit pack shows only that a location was captured, not where. Once that notice is in effect, if you set a boundary around a site and their phone shows they're outside it, the sign-on is refused.
Can I put my own site rules, documents and videos into the induction?
The induction arrives already written, and you can add to it: your site information as text, PDF or Word documents, a YouTube or Vimeo link, and your own questions. Switch on "Workers must open this" for any text, document or video, and the induction won't submit until they've opened it. When you publish a change, workers who've done it are asked to acknowledge the new version the next time they sign on. Each induction lasts twelve months unless you change that in your settings.
If someone's badly hurt on site, what does Anchorlog do?
It gives you one place to record it. You record the incident, who was affected, when you notified SafeWork and when the site was preserved, and attach photos and PDFs. Then you can download the incident as one PDF to forward. Anchorlog doesn't notify SafeWork for you; that call is still yours.
Does it work with no signal?
No signal at the gate? If a worker's phone has opened the site's sign-on page before, the page still opens, saves their sign-on or sign-off on the phone, and sends it when they have signal again. Once Anchorlog accepts it, it is recorded at the time they saved it.
